Board Member Bios
Morna Francis is a single mother to a Senior and Graduate of Atlanta’s Public School (APS) system and has participated in APS as a Local School Council Chair, a PTO President, a GO Team Parent Representative several times. Ms. Francis, assigned by an APS Board members, currently serves on the District's Equity Task Advisory Board to the Superintendent after serving on the Equity Task Force. This Board has led the APS Board to fund an Office of Equity and Inclusion at the district level.

Brandi is a professional tax consultant specializing in the areas of international taxation, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) from a tax perspective, general tax compliance, non-profit compliance, and individual taxation. Brandi has over 10 years of public accounting experience in which she devotes her time assisting clients on transactions throughout all aspects of their organization’s life cycle, including international tax consulting and compliance, acquisitions, dispositions, administrative compliance, and various other tax planning assistance.
Brandi is experienced in performing due diligence reviews of potential targets, assisting in the consultation with clients on global and domestic acquisition structure planning. Brandi’s commitment to serving others extends beyond the firm. In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Brandi is extremely active in her community. Brandi has served on her church’s board as the Financial Secretary for the past 9 years.
She’s also on the Georgia Society of CPAs Task Force and has shared her expertise at the Southeastern Accounting Showcase and AGN EMEA Conference as a speaker.
Brandi received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Dillard University, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a Master’s of Taxation degree from Georgia State University, Robinson College of Business in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Georgia and holds memberships in the AICPA, Georgia Society of CPAs, and National Association of Black Accountants. Brandi is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Personally, Brandi grew up in a West African / American home where she learned about the great culture and rich history of both sides of her family. Brandi resides in Tucker, Georgia with her husband, Randolph, and her two sons Ethan and Jacob.
Licensed since 1996, Adeline has extensive trial and appellate experience handling serious criminal offenses as both prosecutor and defense attorney. She is a proficient career trial attorney with a predisposition for courtroom drama and common sense arguments.
In 2013, Adeline found her passion and purpose helping indigent children charged with delinquent crimes in Fulton County, GA as a supervising attorney with The Conflict Defender’s Office, and serving on Governor Nathan Deal’s Steering Committee for Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative.
It was during her work with children accused of crimes that she began to understand that the issues plaguing her community were largely cultural and intimately intertwined with moral standards. She started seeing the answers to the question which prompted her legal career: “why do people commit crimes?”
She became an advocate of a different sort after her experience in Fulton juvenile court. She became an advocate for teaching mindfulness and bringing art programs to incarcerated children. She believes that spirit-based teaching/influences guide principles, values and morals; so believes in restorative justice that examines decision making and utilizes strategies to help people prone to criminal behavior, think differently. She believes these concepts are essential to reforming the lives of those in the criminal justice system.
Ensuring that children, the economically disadvantaged, and mental health involved criminal defendants are treated fairly in the criminal justice system is her passion. She holds as true the quote by Nelson Mandela that “there can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.”And Matthew 25:40 ‘Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me.’
Hello, my name is Deanna Johnson. I am currently a graduated senior from Dutchtown High School who strives to be collaborative, assertive, and discipline in all that I do. I have been active inside and outside of school by exercising these skills in clubs such as The National Beta Club. Not to mention, I am overall interested in Pharmaceutical studies. Being a part of the National Beta Club allowed me to volunteer at nursing homes which I enjoyed doing before COVID. Overall, I have a high interest to network with people to allow me access to help those around the world who do not have access to healthcare.
